Hello! My name is Rachael Moon and I am a rising ninth grader currently attending Longfellow Middle School. I have played the violin for five years and my passion for music has gotten stronger over the years of playing. My goal while serving for this non profit organization is to be able to share my passion of music to others through love and service.

Hi! My name is Angela Luo, and I am currently a 10th grader at McLean High School. While I don't play many instruments anymore, I have played violin, ukulele, piano, guitar, and clarinet in the past. In my free time, I enjoy watching shows, reading, and drawing.


Siyu Shen
My name is Siyu Shen, and I am in 11th grade at McLean High School. I love playing piano and violin, as well as painting and digital design. I enjoy helping students learn and understand music better and encouraging them to love music.

Brandon Qiao
Hello! My name is Brandon Qiao, and I am currently a rising 9th grader at Longfellow Middle School. I have been learning violin for nine years by now, growing my strengths as well as interacting with a more diverse community. Outside of music, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and eating food (especially boba). Serving on the social media team for HWU- I aim to expand our community, reaching more children and providing more opportunities.


Olivia Nguyen
Olivia is a junior at McLean High School and a committed musician. She has played the viola for eight years and is a member of the McLean Philharmonic Orchestra. She also participated in the district honors orchestra in her sophomore and junior years. Aside from music, Olivia is a competitive gymnast and a gymnastics coach and loves learning and tutoring science.

Katya Kats
I’m Ekaterina and I’m a sophomore at McLean HS. I’m a fencer and in my free time I play violin. I can speak English and Russian fluently.


Colin Li
My name is Colin Li, and I am a 9th-grade student at Thomas Jefferson HSST. I have a strong passion for music and play bass guitar in my band, @pocketthreesband, where we regularly perform at local venues. I also play trumpet, guitar, and ukulele. In addition to music, I enjoy playing hockey and participating in a variety of outdoor activities, including boating and fishing. I am the co-founder of the nonprofit Potomac Outdoor Discovery Society, which encourages youth to connect with nature through hands-on experiences. I’ve also had the unique opportunity to visit all 50 states, which has given me an appreciation for the diversity of people and places across the country.

James David
James David is a dedicated musician and educator who is a current Sophomore at McLean High School. Both a cellist and pianist, James has trained at prestigious institutions such as Eastern Music Festival and Interlochen Center for the Arts, and currently performs with the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras. His musical journey has taken him across the globe, not only as a performer, but also as a teacher. James has led lessons and workshops for children in communities throughout the world, including Traverse City, Michigan and Paris, France. As someone who has witnessed music's impact firsthand, James is proud to support the mission of Harmony With U to help shape programs that empower the next generation of musicians.

I am in 10th grade and I go to McLean High School. I play the violin, and I am really passionate about spreading music. When I am not playing in an orchestra, some of my favorite activities include playing tennis, listening to music, and baking.

Christian Sanchez
Christian Sanchez is a passionate musician, photographer, and arts advocate who currently serves as the Outreach Director for HarmonyWithU and the Outreach Coordinator for Day Violins. With a strong belief in the power of music to build community and create opportunity, Christian dedicates his work to connecting young people with meaningful access to music education.
A committed guitarist and visual storyteller, Christian blends his creative talents with a heart for service. His photography and musical background shape his approach to outreach, focusing on human connection, storytelling, and impact. In his role at Day Violins, Christian supports music educators and schools across the region, helping to build partnerships, provide resources, and strengthen string programs. Whether coordinating events, leading presentations, or visiting classrooms, he is proud to play a part in uplifting the next generation of musicians.
